Common Questions
1. How do you usually work with clients?
In short:
Our goal is to achieve clarity around how to take charge of your life, your work, and your wealth to shape your future and finally find a “home” in the world. The way we coach is to follow our proprietary 5-step program and give our clients a vivid visual roadmap of how their new life will unfold and how it will look for them. So that they can do what they love motivated and empowered to optimise their life with coaching to guide them along the way. The real reason.
— Why
Internationals, Expats, and Global Nomads walk into that life in search of adventure to expand their personal horizons through work or study experiences. They want to create a home in the world, to feel a part of and enjoy the community and be relevant, but they yearn for what they feel they have lost and grieve. They experience or seek out change to live the life of their dreams, an abundant, meaningful life, but when the going gets good, they sabotage and undermine it, not knowing if they are deserving of happiness. You are very intentional and your move came out of a desire to sharpen your sense of self through experiencing another culture and gaining a unique perspective. You literally have to think of everything yourself to make it work. The result is that you feel lonely. Feel guilt for being far away and anxiety for continuously feeling not good enough, not smart enough within a new environment. But now, they’re continuously putting themselves down before others do, out of a desire to fit into a new culture, not the desire to become their own unique selves that sent them abroad in the first place. When they went abroad they wanted to live an expansive life full of promise, but now they’re often doubting themselves, and feel more undervalued and unseen than before.
— What
What you do to change that, is by looking at the difference between lone wolf Internationals and really fulfilled Internationals. The really fulfilled Internationals have a vivid image of the future they wish for and a roadmap which helps them lay down the weight of their aloneness and alert to create what’s possible. That means that you acquire fluidity, an ability to navigate the different cultures and markets you operate in seamlessly with a tribe to help you do so. All you have to do is follow the 5-step program and show up. That allows you to take charge of your life, your work, and your wealth. And now, as you shape your future and create spaciousness, finding a home in the world is within your grasp. You’ll become self-directed, free from the drama in your life and the expectations and desires that limit you now. You’ll find healthy perceptions of yourself and strengthen your relationships. Because once you are attentive and present in your life, you will regain energy and live life more fully. Because when you finally put yourself at the centre of your life you will recognise your power to stand for what matters. Because your life matters, your dream of a more expansive life is within reach and you can act with impact in and on the world. You’ll be understood and feel connected to the culture you find yourself in. You’ll be at home in your new surroundings. You’ll have found community.
— How
The way this changed in my life was by shifting my mindset, my ‘assemblage point’ from my past to my future. I spent a decade fine-tuning a radical opening of possibilities, just beyond myself and I know every edge and resistance to stepping into the. And this is what I’m going to give you: a vivid roadmap to the life of your dreams. So you can get that ultimate freedom, all you have to do is sign up and show up to be coached.
2. What can I expect from the call?
We’re going to be doing a high-level Inner Composition analysis so we can determine the root issue of what’s NOT working in your International, Expat life, and once we’re both clear on what’s going on there, we’ll discuss your goals. And if we determine working with Lea is your best next step toward achieving your goals and solving your root issue in your International, Expat Life, we’ll talk about that. If it ends up not being a fit, we’ll still point you in the direction of resources that will help you.
3. Who is Lea Misan?
Lea Misan is a mindset strategy coach and process-oriented psychotherapist. She works on the premise that you’re generally well in terms of your mental health but could benefit from support to create a healthier life balance as an International. She equips people with the ability to recognise the reality of what their past history really means in their present lives – sometimes making them vulnerable to the errors of judgment that unresolved traumas generate in individuals – who nevertheless remain unquenchable and full of possibility. Using tools she developed for her own life as an international and for the mental health of young people experiencing trauma, she set up and developed the charity Act for Change enabling young people and families to take charge of their lives and become connected in the community. Her clients include Internationals, Expats and Global Nomads who have experienced an intergenerational trauma and those who have inherited intergenerational wealth. Realising that so many other Internationals, Expats and Global Nomads struggle to shift into their fullest possible selves and want deep-rooted radical change, she started 2020 working with other Internationals to realise their dream life.
